100 Seasons Of UMass Basketball DVD
Over the course of 100 seasons, few college programs have experienced the extreme swings of fortune as has UMass men’s basketball. From the program’s humble beginnings as tiny Massachusetts Agricultural College, the team blossomed under Jack Leaman with six NIT appearances in the 1970s. Then after the struggles of the 80s, a remarkable climb followed under John Calipari which took the Minutemen to the No. 1 ranking in the nation and a Final Four. Fans in Amherst have been treated to a roller coaster ride on the hardwood over the past century. As told by those who played the biggest roles, including Calipari, Julius Erving and Marcus Camby, this two-hour plus documentary chronicles the complete history of UMass hoops, past and present.
